The authors of this website are Hilcia Acevedo and Nannette Beckley. We are both freshmen at Princeton University and students in Professor João Biehl's Medical Anthropology class. As residents and minorities of New York City and Chicago, it was very important to us to expose the experiences of the most vulnerable in these areas during the COVID-19 pandemic. More importantly, we felt that it was necessary to share our analysis of how the experiences of the vulnerable coincide with the health and anthropological themes we have learned in this course.
